Civic League General Members Meeting Recap:<\/b> Monday, January 13, 2025<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

New year, new adventure. 40+ residents braved the cold to join us for a special preview look at the progress with the rehabilitation of the Historical Landmark\u2014<\/span>Riverview Theater<\/span>, presented by owner John Childers. We enjoyed healthy snacks and beverages provided by our civic league Social Events committee. We were also joined by\u00a0Officer Brenton Blakeslee<\/strong>, our Community Resource Officer, who provided the latest crime report<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Special Recognition:<\/strong> We want to thank Bill Nausbaum, who has served the CPRV Civic League for almost 40 years, acting as our registered agent and providing guidance over the years. We cannot thank Bill enough, so please be sure to say “hello” to him if you see him around the neighborhood!<\/span><\/p>

Next Month’s Meeting: <\/strong>On Monday, February 10th, we will return to Kingdom Embassy Ministries and be joined by Amena Anderson, Bank On Coordinator with the City of Norfolk. Learn more about the Bank On program here<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>

Upcoming:<\/strong> McDonald’s on Granby Street will be joining us in Feb or March to discuss revamping their Parking and drive-through area, for which they are seeking a conditional use permit from the city. Stay tuned.<\/span><\/div>
